OPPORTUNITY IN CRISIS

Opportunity in Crisis  have different meanings and different purposes.    Strengthening the Health Infrastructure  should have been a priority  to provide  facilities for treatment and to save the life of the people from the Corona viruses. However, the ruling establishment have found it an opportunity to privatise every thing created in the public sector by the previous governments with the labour of the workers and taxpayers money. This privatisation move is nothing but a process of gifting everything to the  friends. The business houses acquires the public enterprises at very low costs than its real value. Most of the price they pay for these enterprises have been borrowed by the nationalised banks. After some initial refunds to the banks  they stop repayment and eventually this amount become NPA. This is the well practiced route to gift the national assets to the business houses. Ultimately the government exchequer gains nothing.                                                              The another opportunity which the ruling party have found in the crisis is to implicate  and arrest  the activists and the protesters against CAA,NRC and NPR, unpliable journalists and human rights activists .   A new method have also been devised in this process. The victims have been made accused while giving clean chits to the alleged  accuseds.The  attack on the  Bhima Coregaon Victory celebration procession and the Delhi Riots cases are the glaring examples.The  rampant misuse of the UAPA and Sedition laws have  been found an opportunity in this period.                                              In this period of crisis the economic model of the country has been thoroughly exposed . The worst reflection of the flawed economic development was the plight of the workers of different states   who were compelled to march on foot for thousands of kilometres facing hunger and accidental deaths.                                 It was a time to introspect the shortcomings of our planning and path of economic development which is  being persued for the last several decades resulting in such a horrible condition for the majority of the Indian people. But instead of doing so the present establishment have found it an opportunity to dole everything to the benefits of his business houses friends. The opportunity in Crisis have one meaning for the ruling party and another meaning for the people of the country.
